This restaurant is most certainly NOT your regular Chinese. It is not just that the food is gorgeous, the cocktail list dangerously enticing and it is full of atmosphere, but it is also sophisticated and cool. The best nights are Saturdays when they host a guest DJ. You can have your Chinese and then boogie the night away while tasting some amazing cocktails. But beware! Saturdays are usually fully booked so you must book in advance.
The menu also caters for every taste. If you are an adventurous soul there are some interesting combinations on the food and cocktail menu for you but if, like me, you know what you like, you can still play it safe. While they are child friendly I would not recommend it for children younger than twelve. This restaurant is too sophisticated and expensive to bring a young child. Trust me, I've tried!!! If, however, you are bringing a little one they do have an early seating at 6.30pm which will get you fed and out before everyone starts hitting the bar. Otherwise, week nights are always a good option. You must also be prepared to part with some cash. Yu & You is not a cheap date, but it is definitely worth the money. At least Gordon Ramsey, an International Celebrity Chef, seemed to think so when he awarded it "Gordon Ramsey's Chinese Restaurant of the Year" in 2010.
